Or you could view new posts by viewing the subforum like normal. Tbh I want thenew posts button to dissapear

In the meanwhile, after reading the threads that you do care about, use the "mark this forum as read" button.

Yes please. I've looked through all the mods, and didn't find anything that could do it. The Hide Post mod /might/ work, but it's mainly for admin purposes, so it'd be completely overkill unless heavily edited.

This would be greatly appreciated. It'll make it so I don't have to look at every single thread just to get rid of the new post button.

I browse the threads by clicking on the "new posts" button, but I cant see which threads those are until I go to the subfurum. My request is to make an "ignore thread" button so that I would see whether there are new posts for threads I actually care about. New threads should have "new posts" by default though.
