Well I can only speak about my own experiences. My roommates were my best buddies in boot camp and the course, but after some time many many problems started arising because of lack of communication and some disgusting things happening. The solution ofc was to sit, talk and open up about what bothers each of us and since we did it started getting really dandy, in the end we're friends and we're stuck with each other for the next two years. Regardless - I think a week is just not that long enough of a time for serious problems to actually arise is all. Especially not if you do not have to deal with money issues

all I heard from my friends who lived with their best friends is that it was kinda hellish and some friendships even broke over really disgusting stuff. this shit could destroy relations like nothing.

I don't have the time to play this year (army keeps me busy to the point I'd have to ask my parents to send the package for me, which's a big no no lol) but I think it'd be good if people could make a list of things they'd like to get/like in general after you decide on the budget to avoid scenarios like this. better safe than sorry, although you'd have to be a really fucking shit person to complain about a present anyway.
