Meh, Farcry 1 was amazing when it came out, the original not-fucked-over-by-the-publisher version.
FC2 had a pretty lackluster story but the weapon mechanics were great (plus I loved exploding everything with the MGL-40, M79 and Carl Gustav).
FC3 started out quite amazing but about halfway through the game it just became dull and repetitive as fuck all the way up until the final 10% of the game, only to hit rock bottom right before the end. Also the boss fights felt like I was playing DDR while on drugs, fuck that shit.
Have yet to get my hands on FC4 because I don't want to throw more money at Ubisoft and I'm too lazy to DL it.
