Re: Thread for the Alcoholics

My culture has something called Snake wine...it's meant to improve your libidio?

1024px-Ruou_thuoc_1.jpg

"Snake wine (蛇酒, pinyin: shéjiǔ; rượu rắn in Vietnamese; 뱀주, RRK: bemju in Korean) is an alcoholic beverage produced by infusing whole snakes in rice wine or grain alcohol.

The snakes, preferably venomous ones, are not usually preserved for their meat but to have their "essence" and snake venom dissolved in the liquor. The snake venom poses no threat to the drinker. It is denatured by the ethanol—its proteins are unfolded and therefore inactive—and would be denatured by stomach acid anyway.

Snakes are widely believed to possess medicinal qualities and the wine is often advertised to cure everything from farsightedness to hair loss, as well as to increase sexual performance.[3][4] In Vietnam, snake wine (Rượu rắn) is widely believed by some individuals to improve health and virility. A similar drink is made with geckos or sea horses rather than snake"

You can get scorpion variants also.

I know that Finns love their beer so I won't touch their beer, but somehow I'm not surprised that the negro would drink cheap shitty beer and get wasted on it. :p

Most finnish "brand beers" (Koff, Karjala, Karhu, Olvi, Lapin Kulta etc.) are terrible.

Re: Thread for the Alcoholics

1. Pirkka III Premium Lager
2. Pirkka III Premium Lager
3. Pirkka III Premium Lager

Seriously though, ranking beers in terms of just their taste is pretty darn hard. Especially for me since each beer type pretty much has their own "uses", but that just might be me where the best kind of beer is highly dependant on the moment (weather, overall feel, cravings for bitterness etc)

But well, pretty much anything from our smaller breweries (like Pyynikki craft brewery) are quite good if you're looking for actual tastes (Christmas sahti best stuff).
Shamefully this kind of stuff isn't sold everywhere (even our alcolol monopoly Alko has a piss poor collection) and the easiest way of actually getting to know the better stuff is to visit a beerfest when one is going on. One of the reasons why I pretty much drink foreign stuff 9/10 times I drink a better beer and save the basic stuff for yearnings of alcolol
This is just my opinion of our choices on beer as a sorta beer-enthuastic.

Re: Thread for the Alcoholics

My biggest weakness has to be gin tonic, can't resist that stuff at all. I can handle whiskey way better than that stuff
