Well excuse me for wanting a pinch of realism in the mangas I read. I'm not into reading action, thrillers or supernatural shit and all that. I like romance so I mainly stick to shoujos. I grew up reading the Adult romance novels my Mother read so it's a given.

Well actually, if you want realism you read Josei, not Shojo. Shojo mangas usually portray interhuman relations in a very skewed fashion, as it fits the demographic. Josei, on the other hand, aims exactly for what you want - realism, no over the top drama, no idealisation or inexplicable affection. Note that I said "aims" - there are a shitton of Shojo works that are far more realistic in nature than those aimed for older women, but rule of thumb is that Josei > Shojo in terms of maturity and a less naive type of mindset of the cast.

Speaking of Josei and ladies, I need to get back into watching BBC dramas. I recently finished Poldark and I'd give it a 7/10 at most, not counting the fact that it ended the first season in a giant fucking cliffhanger.
