Sarcasm is usually used for mocking idiots, so if you have to point out that something is sarcasm, you failed at it.

I've had that debate before with a friend and I cannot, for the life of me, agree with that statement.

sarcasm is a tool for idiots to feel superior to other idiots
as if the need to feel superior to others isn't already pretty idiotic.

sarcasm is like the epitome of narcissism, you only make active use of sarcasm if you actively assume superiority over other people

You have to be pretty naive in thinking that all people are created equal or attain the same kind of value throughout their lives. It's more than obvious that one man can, through the sheer force of will and sweat, achieve much greater things than a man who does nothing, so with all due respect, I disagree.

you don't have to assert your self-imposed superiority. besides, what if everyone else just doesn't mind their position in life and are making themselves comfortable with where they stand while you're busy assigning arbitrary rankings on your own redundant classification system so you can place yourself higher than most other people and feel superiority?

i guess im just reflecting my own existentialism and apathy towards 'succeeding in life' for the sole purpose of comparing myself to other people

But that's not the point here
Yes, people are different, but what's being discussed here is the implications the use of sarcasm brings to the table. Mainly that you not only have to assume people are different, but that you yourself are above the other party in some way or another and that that is conceited behavior.
