Why would you use a container that's only used in imgur and that uses flash to playback the said content.
Not to mention how you can still playback .gifvs as .webm .gif etc by changing the extension when all you really needed was webm in the first place
i have no idea technically speakin, but i just know that .gifv is way faster and smaller than .gif on imgur
so yeah, you're right
