As far as the commentary it could be just be idle chat.
Awkwardness with talking would probably get better with time and practice.

A small veiwerbase can be nice though.
You can actually read the chat without missing half of it scrolling away into the void.
Don't forget you can post here on this conveniently sized forum for viewers you can recognize at a glance.
Also you can set up something on discord or teamspeak so that there's a healthy voice chat.

I used to dig around for the video location in the element inspector but this is easier so...yeah.

I use a pair of Sennheiser HD 598SEs.
For travel I just use some Bose noise cancelling headphones.
