well theres this saying that chess isn't a game, its WAR.
I suppose the same applies to GO. You go in with good intentions and leave with PTSD.
Chess is a small battle; go is many battles that affect each other from large distances that constitue a war. i once thought I would win no matter what after winning a fight that spread half the board and capturing 20 stones; I became retarded and lost by 0.5

Now my graph is about halfway to 3k from 4k; I need a lot more training because I've only really beaten 3k like once and to be 3k I need to be able to beat them - not just beating up 4 and 5k. Being a 1d also means I need to be able to beat 2d.
