Aurani, you're idolizing the past; Sure a simple farmer could invent a new, more efficent of seeding back then but to this day doing inventions is far more complicated. To reseach those black holes you speak of you need specialized tools... and a whole lot of money. For an farmer its no big loss to experiment with one sack of seeds and an half acre of land to see if it yields more, someone who wants to study those holes and fails ends up with tools that cost millions and are not able to used for anything else.
Or are you saying theres no one borthering to learn and work as a scientist for the big research labs?
