Stefan is already doing a better job, but its hard to tell since there's still a a lot of eat a brick and locked threads floating around. Give him some time.

What needs to happen is someone needs to drive out the shitposters. Locking threads does nothing but encourage them, you need to dole out heavy silences as well for it to be effective. But if you need to take such a heavy-handed approach then you know the forum is too far gone anyway; ideally the forum would have a userbase of older users that naturally ostracises people who don't fit in (like the shitposters) and strict moderation is unnecessary. However most of the older users have since moved on from there, so nothing but the shitposters are left anyway.

I just had a really weird, long ass dream. In the end of the dream there was this crazy guy chasing people down with a chainsaw so I cut off his dick and one of his arms with a spiked mace that one of my exes found. After that, he became normal and was completely cool with me cutting off his dick and arm so we went to go drink together, but it was only then that I realised it was a dream because in the bar, all my exes were gathered and casually talking to each other, so I woke up.

Nothing really needs to happen to OT at this point. It's already been given away and we were past the ideal stage long before any one of us joined. Going over ideal countermeasures is pretty much moot.

However, I'd like to be clear that the only issue with locking a zillion threads is that it gives shitposters recognition. It gives them the attention they want because they're acknowledged by moderators and users alike. They gain notoriety and that just breeds more plotters and friendoks that won't let a silence or ban stop them. And hell, at that point everyone, old or new, will be chuckling along all the same. Gotta delete that shit. And then silence.

I said it before and I'll say it again: All the forum communities should be fucking ashamed of themselves when the Ikariam community (a game mostly for children) is the most mature one I've stumbled upon.
There has never once been a shitposter there and people actually behaved like they didn't have crippling autism. Sometimes I wonder what kind of past trauma or disease caused people on Osu and similar forums to behave like utter morons all the time, worthy of being gassed or tortured.
