the implication was that life is what you make of it and some people are happy with a modest life and that doesn't make them lesser beings worth having to listen to condescending sarcasm from some twat who bothered going beyond the call of duty

What the actual fuck are you talking about, mate? The society has already established a clear ranking system, although it's increasingly failing due to people nowadays accepting utter idiocy for equality. A guy with the same intelligence level as a remote that has been pissed on, who also doesn't want to attain any knowledge and indulges himself in simple activities makes him more than just inferior to me - or anyone who has done something for themselves.
It's degrading and disgusting that people try to justify their failures by claiming other people are narcissistic and pompous just so they themselves can feel better.
I'm also pretty sure you'll misunderstand me, so I'll set it straight before anything (hopefully) goes to shit. I DON'T think success in life equals value. I don't think being genetically superior means having greater value. What I DO think is that actions you take throughout your life add to your value, meaning that even you having the goal of becoming an expert in hentai art equals value. You can stay in your house your entire life, never read a single book, never learn anything, get some random job that's enough to keep you alive and still have value if that is what your life goal is. What I won't ever accept is that some bum who has never had any goals in life, who has done nothing but milk his parents his entire life and has zero use calls himself equal to me or any other proper human at that.
Defending those people means approving of what the world is currently gradually becoming. So yes, I still disagree.

IA'm not talking about sarcasm anymore, as Fitty brought up a greater point. Sarcasm is merely the tool - a person's value is the root of the discussion here, apparently.
Speaking of which, you half-Spaniard, I would love to force you to take the matter to TS.

it inherently is - you already established that sarcasm is a tool to mock idiots
i'd like to distinguish degenerates from regular population, we both seem to dislike degenerates.
people who are unhappy but take no initiative to solving it are degenerates. depression is an exception which takes longer time to solve but can be solved, preferably with but also without the help of others.
a random job that barely keeps you alive equals a very simple lifestyle, some people dig that shit. people who don't but are unwilling to change it but instead blame society are degenerates.
on the other hand we have pompous cunts who have or have not worked harder than others to achieve their - usually harder to reach - goals and use this as an excuse to think themselves higher, usually asserting this thought either among themselves, which is fairly harmful, or to the part of the population they deem as lesser. they are, i repeat, cunts.

Well, we seem too agree there for the most part. I think that pointing out that you're superior to X person for no reason what-so-ever makes you a pretty big cunt, yes, but if X person begins it (for example pointing out how they're equal no matter what), then I believe you retain the right to put him in his place.
