Black 3 - This isn't really an opening move but those aren't important now. Just stick to playing the star (4-4) points for now as a beginner.

Black 5 - This move does nothing. In the opening, the general way to expand about the board is to 1) start in the corners, 2 ) expand along the sides, and 3) finally move out into the centre. This move is too high to be useful.

The third line from the edge of a board (it's a square, so the 1st line is a square around the entire edge and the 10th line is just the central point) is the general line to play for making points along the side. It's the line of territory. The 4th line has influence towards the centre and it's much harder to make points with it because your opponent can come in underneath easily and gobble them all up. In the opening most moves are on the 3rd and 4th line. This move you played s on the 6th line. It effectively does nothing. A move like Q10 would be an improvement.

Black 11 - At this point both players are just trying to surround the board in a bad way that does nothing. White can play R9 at any time and he's going to live and you're not going to have many points.

I'm going to hold off on more types of commentary because you seem to be at least capable of dicking around other beginners in terms of random fighting. At least against this guy. You can just suffice with game experience for a bit.

I was beating 13k player's ass so hard but didn't notice the weird time settings and lost because I ran out of time. It was 10 minutes without any extra times or resetting timers

I was inspired to try playing again after so many bad moves in the last post

If you use the Google account only to use Youtube not much should be different - only that your uploads & comments get published on G+ too now.

giving telemetry through one site is different that through millions, google didn't try to 'tailor to my needs' on youtube and advertisement on the same scale before they decided to make youtube go full botnet mode
