Meh, Farcry 1 was amazing when it came out, the original not-fucked-over-by-the-publisher version.
FC2 had a pretty lackluster story but the weapon mechanics were great (plus I loved exploding everything with the MGL-40, M79 and Carl Gustav).
FC3 started out quite amazing but about halfway through the game it just became dull and repetitive as fuck all the way up until the final 10% of the game, only to hit rock bottom right before the end. Also the boss fights felt like I was playing DDR while on drugs, fuck that shit.
Have yet to get my hands on FC4 because I don't want to throw more money at Ubisoft and I'm too lazy to DL it.

So far it's more difficult than DS1. It's equivalent area to the undead burg from DS1 already has multiple kinds of enemies and the new addition of weapon arts makes the Lothric knights an enemy to watch out for. I was trying to farm them for their armour set and I haven't died this much to normal mobs in a souls game ever. Basically beefed up versions of Balder knights but you encounter them sooner and they take around 10+ hits to kill without backstabbing or parrying.

The bosses so far are piss easy though, and I swear they give no souls when you kill them.

Yo fuck the crystal sage, my hollowing is around 99 now because of that fucker. It's killed me more times than the combined amount of times the previous bosses killed me, which is 0, but I'm pretty sure it's killed me more times than any other boss in the souls series.
