Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

Idk what kind of business economy it is over there, but out of 106 people I had in my class, only 28 are left, and it's not even the end of the second year for me. I could show you all the books that I had the last semester, too.
I definitely agree that it's nowhere near as studying medicine, but at least here you need quite a good high school record to enter. It also probably has something to do with the fact that it's a private uni, and not the filthy public one.

That's probably due to the state of your country or whatever because business economy is not thought of highly here.  If you think on it hard enough, ignoring the laws and such, the things you learn in economics are things you should already know yet it just so happened that you never thought of them before, hence, common sense.  You literally don't need a degree in business economy to become a big name entrepreneur.  Look at Alan Sugar, fool dropped school when he was around 16 and look where he is now.  To be quite honest if you went to a university or a job saying you have an A* or a degree in business over here they would consider you less than someone with nearly any different degree.

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

I dunno about your claims that the leave voters are smarter/better/whatever, but from the little i've talked with british citizens (just three), they voted leave purely because they claimed the EU to be a undemocratic, evil dictatorship, which is just plain false.

EU has problems, but a lack of democracy aint one.

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

First of all, you've only spoken (and only a little) with three british citizens.
Second of all, I literally have proof through which of my friends voted what (and I have a lot of friends), people from across the country; out of all my friends, the stupid ones/the immigrants voted in; the smarter ones who actually had knowledge in economics voted out.
For the ones that voted in, all the arguments they stated were from what they heard from the TV; internet; mail and every other propaganda David Cameron has been sending out.  Not one argument that came from their own heads.
The ones that voted out actually gave legitimate, educated arguments because they actually knew what they were talking about, instead of just searching the internet and googling "y Brexit gud".

What you're referring to there is charisma, talent and serious dedication. You don't need a degree in anything to become famous and successful, as some of the wealthiest and most well-known people in the world have proven.

However, that doesn't mean you can skip through everything and expect to be as great as those people. 65% of your youth voted to stay in EU, meaning 65% of them are seriously mentally challenged and/or know nothing of general politics and economy. They have no knowledge about business economy and never will have, as your average Joe barely has enough knowledge for other shit, let alone of how the economy works.

To get back to your original point - I'm studying it both to understand it more than your average retard and as a way of getting a job I've been eyeing for a long time now. With that goal achieved, I can concentrate on what my true passion is - archaeology.

Yeah, because contrary to the meaning of common sense, the majority of people don't actually have common sense.

Have I mentioned that David Cameron is either a retarded or a hypocritical politician?
In the political election last year, he specifically stated that as the leader of the conservative party he would restrict the amount of immigrants from other countries of the EU that would be able to come into the country yet that is literally impossible to do as a member of the EU, then he goes onto defend the UK staying in the EU...
A lot of big promises just to get his political party to win the vote but they were bullshit.

even if i dont really care about all that brexit shit i was looking for some opinions other than the #brexit cringe from twitter where they seem to have no idea what they're talking about and just follow each others without even being UK or Europe citizen

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

Okay good, the majority of people are just sheep and follow what their friends do.  To be honest, I think it's quite hard to find legitimate reasons as to why leaving the EU was better because the media has been so one-sided in staying, the propaganda is crazy.  I think it's a miracle that the right vote was made since I thought the majority of people voting were uneducated fucks.  The number of people I knew that were saying that they were going to vote in, heavily outnumbered the amount of people I knew that said they were going to vote out, but it seems the majority of people that said they were going to vote in didn't even bother to vote at all.

Hey enet, I heard someone claim that the vote is void due to having less than a 60% majority with less than 75% of the populace voting, is this true?

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

Nah that's just some salty gayboys petitioning for a re-vote which just comes to show how stupid they are.  If every country had a second chance on what they vote then what was fucking point in voting in the first place.  That petition's never going to be accepted.  Retards, there's no second chance in voting.
Only 75% of the populace voted because only around 30% have an inkling of educated knowledge in the matter and the rest of the 70% have no clue, meaning they either don't care or just get all the information from the media.

The only argument that I respect so far for staying in is the second point of this.  The rest is cringe.

Thing is, even that point is flawed because being inside the EU was the reason for our debt in the first place. kek
