Damn, few here have had the pleasure to play a VN.
Don't use “thought” verbs too much: thinks, understands, loves, hates, and a hundred others. Instead of characters knowing, present the details that allow the reader to know them. Instead of a character wanting something, describe the thing so that the reader wants it. Only specific sensory detail: smell, taste, and sound.

m8, i have to wash my hair every second day or look like i dunked my hair in grease. Your hair doesnt get oily quickly, trust me.
just because it gets oily quickly doesn't mean I wash it though 8^)
I take advantage of the oily hair in the summer and spring because it holds my hair down from dying

Last day of work tomorrow feels like a blessing. Then I have about 2 weeks left before school starts again.
Also, I have a vague memory of someone here living in Indonesia, if so: Is there anything worth seeing in Jakarta? Will be there for a couple of days and will most likely have time to spare. Any tips are welcome <3

I have only spent less than 12 hours in Jakarta, but I heard there are not many places for tourist to see over there. Only two things come to mind, Monas (a monument), and Ancol (beach/theme park). A quick google search on "jakarta tourism" shows a bunch of museums, could be nice if you're interested in stuff like that.
Jakarta is more like a business city than a tourist city. If someone said he/she spent the holiday there, it's probably visiting a family member or shopping. The city is basically the shopping haven of Indonesia. The national consensus is you don't go to Jakarta to look at places, you go to Jakarta to buy stuff. There are many department stores, and one of them is so huge I literally got lost while trying to find a parking spot where my friend was waiting.
Depends on where you're going to stay and how long you're staying, you might not be able to visit some places because Jakarta is huge and the traffic is terrible.
Edit: Obligatory reminder of scamming, thieves, and inflated prices for foreigners. As metropolitan as it looks (compared to other cities in Indonesia), it's still a part of a third world country.
