Nobody got time for that fucking shit, you'd have to spend at least 10 hours for each pokemon just to get them to their competitive status.  You can just go use a pokemon battle simulator like pokemon showdown and set the IVs, EVs and moves manually.

Most competitive players on the DS use PokeGen, PokeHex or any other pokemon generating hack to generate their pokemon so they don't have to bother with training them.  It takes me 30mins to 2+ hours just to make a new pokemon team on pokemon showdown; adding, removing and respeccing.  Most of the time, the pokemon you thought was going to be good for the team ends up not being so good so it's a lot of trial and error and their are many builds to each pokemon.  Imagine having to spend the time to train each one.  That would add at least 5 hours for each; even more considering it may not even fit the team properly.  Training I think is only bearable if you're going to just stick to one team but that gets boring fast.

Yeah I spend my time grinding too but at this point, I'd only do it again on Gen V games.
