But right now I'm running the audio jack through the microphone extender into the audio jack in the back which was entirely accidental but it works fine so I think it's going to be good for now.

Mahogany, it sounds like your headphone port is messed up, the bit that holds the jack in might be loose. There's not really much you can do about that except replace it, use a jack that fits tighter in it, or take apart your computer and try to manually fix it (which is a pretty awful idea).

I guess spend $10 and get another audio card? IDK

Thanks Soner, and the problem being with the computer and not my Headphones was exactly what I was afraid of.

It seems to work in the back port now thanks to me using a different extender cable, though, so for now, it's fine. Until the back headphone port gets messed up, that is. Hopefully by then I'll have changed stuff and it won't be a problem.
