I feel sorry for all the bastards who never played the early titles of Total War, back in the day.

I showed one of the games to a few friends and they immediately started spouting nonsense about graphics and gameplay improvements and how the newer titles do a much better job at balancing out the difficulty, enjoyment and management of all its features.
If only there was a way to transfer your nostalgia to someone else and make them see why an older game can still be eons away from a (technically) superior one, just because you are emotionally attached to it.
