Doesn't lasik give you temporary blindness after the surgery? Well, not literally that, but your eyes just get really sensitive to light. I heard that side effect is a bitch. Besides, every time I read about the process of this operation I always feel squeamish. Laser cutting your cornea and all that.

I remember getting a lot of compliments, even from strangers (which *never* happens), when I had my first set of contact lenses. To be honest, it felt really good. Besides, eye contacts didn't bother me as much as the other people in this thread except when they got under my eyelid but that's another story. I really should go back to the optometrist so I can get a new prescription. If I wasn't a shut-in who valued comfort more than style when at home, I'd probably still have my lenses now.

Goethe's Faust is really good. The first part was relatively painless to read but I haven't been able to read the second because every time I tried, my head would just hurt.

I was planning to watch it because it reminded me of Twin Peaks a little bit.
