+ decent storyline
+ enjoyable, somewhat arcadey gunplay (a subject of taste, of course)
+ a decent challenge (atleast on über difficulty; cranked it up from the second hardest after ~20 minutes of playtime)
+ can dual wield assault rifles

- bossfights are easy compared to certain "arenas" with lots of enemies around them
- ^ related to this, the pacing of difficulty in the game felt poor in places, i swear the last "arena" type map before the final boss fight was by far the hardest part of the game, to the point where i ended up baiting the slow mech enemies to the other side and then running through to slowly crank open the door at the end of it rather than killing everything
- the only guns i ended up actually using were the laser thing (for mechanical enemies) the assault rifles (for everything else) and sometimes the pistol (for a sneaky entry kill)
- these fuckers wearing hazmat suits and wielding shotguns are bullshit, you either load two mags of bullets into their faces, try to shoot the gas tanks on their backs to deal substantial damage, or use explosives to kill them, but there's way too little ammo/health/grenades for that in each map, so i had to cheese most of them instead of doing the more entertaining straight fight

overall not a bad game, easily the most enjoyable singleplayer fps i've played in a good while
