he simulated how much someone could do if they got the hashed passwords from tuuba with minimal effort and an outdated GPU through dictionary attacks. please do not form words in your passwords unless you mess them up heavily

Your sister goes to SYK then probably. Though usually it's just a matter of opinion which IB school is better in Helsinki. If she commented the exam thing then she is probably just thinking about the average/normal high schools.

i remember being admin of a forum and i could see passwords in plain text, but maybe it doesnt work the same way here

this is why i never use my steam/paypal/email password on forums

it's a meme you dip, I don't live in actual finland I live in the overseas extension of finland people occasionally mistake for a different country

also: I am the smartest but am really bad at working efficiently so that's where my problem comes from

They're hashed, but if the password itself is simple, you can just generate passwords and hash them until you get a matching hash and then you know the password used to generate the hash.

Ok thanks I just wanted to make sure plaintext isn't a thing here

I'll stand by my philosophy of weak passwords, because it's easy and I can do the email reset. I only keep stuff I consider really valuable with good security, eg steam account with 2factor or my really long google account password
