It may just be that it confused you because I'm not a native English speaker (nor talk to other native speakers often enough for that matter), so the way I word things is odd. I don't know, but regardless, it's better to point it out to me than sit back and giggle at my ignorance, no?
Nah, I was in the wrong here technically. It's pretty clear that you're more proficient at English than most native speakers anyways.

Hey, it doesn't matter, as long as we got something out of it. I definitely appreciate the effort that you took to correct me, and (as I said in the other post) help is always welcome.
Wait, I am? You're definitely flattering me. I definitely have to start learning English properly, as my basic grammar is just poke and stab randomly - wholly comprised of intuitive choices. For example, I have yet to learn when to use "I HAVE come to your house." versus "I CAME to your house." properly. Okay, that example was a little retarded in its simplicity, but there are situations where I have no bloody idea what to do, so I just "stab in the dark" and hope for the best. It's infuriating that I'm far too lazy to learn such an international giant of a language, but that's me in almost every aspect of life, I guess.

they're not being very polite, sure, but your intentions of helping them are ungenuine if you regret helping them because they did not give anything in return, even if it is as little as a simple thanks
A thanks isn't getting something in return. If they can't even show some appreciation with a simple word, then they don't deserve any help.
