So the i5-6600K is the newest of new?
Hmm, the pcpartpicker doesnt show me ones newer than the 3xxx ones... This must mean the motherboard i picked is incompatible with newer stuff...?
So i need a better one if i want better cpu. Ugh. Thus more pricy mobo&cpu...So if im getting this right, i put outdated hardware in? How future proof is this build assuming i dont update the motherboard/cpu now?
1) Yes.
2) Correct.
3) Only if you aren't spending money on that 3570k: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tFbwD3
4) You sure did. As for "future proof," it depends entirely on what you're using it for. Generally speaking, future proofing a PC is impossible.

Well, future proof as in, how long it will be able to run current games at at least 60fps/1080p on medium settings. Or most of them anyway since some are far more demanding than others.
Also how upgradeable it is for when i get more dosh & the performance just doesnt output what i want anymore (see above) w/o having to replace half the computer because of incompatblities.
Ok, i put a newer mobo&cpu in... & mixed up some stuff...
How does this look? Which parts should i replace first when i upgrade? The gpu?
under $1000 will always be might aswell use a laptop-tier
Eh, they just dont bring the same power for the same price & upgrading is harder if not impossible. afaik.
