In a nutshell;
- PvE Minecraft
- Hardest difficulty
- HP won't regenerate
- Only way to heal is to eat golden apples
- Dead players get banned
- You can revive a died player by doing some sort of requirement that was made beforehand
- Objective: Beat the game and make sure whole party won't die
Almost four years ago tuubamen decided to play Minecraft with a twist. You could only heal yourself with a golden apple and if someone died, they were dead till some requirements were made by other players. This was called ULTRAHARDCORE Minecraft and was pretty fucking amazing.
Is it about the time we should do this amazing mission again? Someone make the server, let's meet up and try to survive as long as possible. Alternatively we could do this in Terraria with some other weird shit.
If we manage to get this going, let's discuss about our revival requirements beforehand.
Lefafel - Tame a mooshroom and name it after the dead player 100 redstone blocks + make a chessboard (we randomized two other requirements since server keeps crashing with too much simultaneous exploring going on)
ksg - Write 20 pages long story about the recent events in the world of Tuuba Minecraft with Book and Quill
B1rd - 2 stacks of diamonds
IppE - raid and pillage a village
Mara - 2 stacks of diamonds
5,000 cobblestone
10 gold blocks
10,000 dirt
100 redstone blocks
2 stacks of diamonds
1 god apple
3 different LVL-3 enchanted items
5 stacks of bread
stack of cookies
2 stacks of cooked fish
Build 70x70 pyramid with sandstone
Build 10x10 tower to the maximum height with any material
Build a chess board (min. 8x8)
Build 50x50pyramid with stone bricks
Build 10x50 lava pool on the surface
Build 10x10 glass sphere
Build an army of 50 snow golems
Build 200 rails long rollercoaster
Build 150 bricks long wall that has at least 3 bricks tall
Tame a mooshroom and name it after the dead player
Raid a village (kill all NPCs, burn the houses)
Write 20 pages long essay about why your favorite video game is shit with Book and Quill
Write 20 pages long story about the recent events in the world of Tuuba Minecraft with Book and Quill
Build 60 blocks tall nazi version of the osu!logo
Server address: megumin.tuuba.moe
Minecraft version: 1.8.9

The original idea came from some youtubers, I thought it was pretty interesting and wanted to play it with people.
If this mod still exists for decent versions of Minecraft, I'd be glad to play it again.
Can't function as a host this time, my server needs a new HDD before I can do some actual hosting again
Everyone has a belief system, B.S., the trick is to learn not to take anyone's B.S. too seriously, especially your own.

Count me in! I just hope ill have my new PC ready when this launches.

Its not a mod. It all can be achieved by tampering with the settings.
Namely:
@world gen: Set the gamemode to Hardcore. (Death results in world deletion or user ban for servers)
Ingame:
/difficulty 3 (Hard)
/gamemode 2 (Adventure mode, cant break stuff unless using the proper tools. optional but adds to the difficulty. getting apples is easy right? Well, now it costs you a lot of ressources, because you need to use swords to break leafes, at a durability penalty)
Life is like a box of chocolates.

We had a different "ruleset" for the hardcore thing, mainly:
No health regen with food
Upon death, a sacrifice is decided upon that other players need to make to get the dead player back.
Dead players get godmode and build some weird sky temple thing in the sky while others try to survive.

Oh god, i cant belive i forgot about the most important thing:
/gamerule naturalRegeneration false
Well, with the sacrifice, i guess then we're playing co-operatively rather than PvP all vs all like the Youtubers did?

But the thing is, only golden apples heal.
And hp potions I guess.
We had some requirements, for example:
Reviving Mara required one to dump 10k cobblestone to his lava filled grave.
Reviving Plakkis cost some golden apples, idr how many.
But yeah, I probably won't host this time, even though I'd have better hardware for it. My home connection is so shit it caused some problems last time too.
Ofc I could maybe host on the tuubaserver, but that wouldn't be optimal for us Europeans, since the server is in Canada.
Possibly I could ask a few guys for possible hq hosting in Finland, but we'll see.

Cant we... like, start with the brewing stand?
Grinding for gold to heal before that is awful. Like, seriously 8 bars to regain 2 hearts? You cant fortune gold so...

I assume thats the reason why its called ULTRA HARDCORE

This exactly isn't up to date anymore :(
We need a replacement, or will we play the last supported version?
Possibly, we could go with the vanilla approach using the gamerule command. Idk though.

Like Manboat said, it's called Ultra Hardcore for a reason. There is no point in playing if you start with a stand and can mass-produce healing shit.

The idea is cool but doing that much grinding to restore 2 hearts seems really tedious.
