Clearly the administration asked the community first, im 100% sure they would keep it if it ended up being more slanted toward keep it. Like, 70% or what do i know. With results that torn i'd go "Oh well, if they cant decide then ill do as the internal staff thinks."

You're right in this instance, and I use the word 'dictatorship' for lack of a better one. It's just that the attitude of patronising people for being against the management/authority rubs me the wrong way.

osu! is pretty much a dictatorship of peppu though. It's his game to do what he pleases with, but that doesn't mean I can't oppose the way he does things.

I'm still not sure what website you're talking about though.

Talkin bout the Terraria forums. See, im this one idiot who is addicted to forums and posts on game forums for games she doesnt even play all that passionately. Because im actually a rather chatty person despite social anxiety.

But see, democratic values and the amendements dont apply to websites and they're acting so entitled, as if they would, total shocker if the administration decides something on its own. Unbeliveabe right?! How DARE they?

Well you're right that democratic votes don't apply to private businesses, games, websites or whatever. Though IMO it's still morally wrong if a company 'sells out', as in changes the game in a way that betrays its former playerbase just to appeal to a wider audience to make more money.

About that specific thing, it depends, if the management are changing the status quo while 50% of players are against it then they might have something to complain about, otherwise, no.
