Yo Dragon's Dogma is bullshit; why the hell should I have to complete the main quest line twice and get to New Game++ just so I can have a decent chance of completing the DLC?

I had absolutely no trouble completing the Dark Arisen content after my first game completion. I think I was around lv60 or so?

What level are you? What class are you? Are you using decent pawns?

The best advice I can give to anyone is to USE FULLY UPGRADED RUSTY WEAPONS. Yeah, that's not a joke. Rusty weapons at 3* will inflict torpor on your enemies. That's the status that makes them REALLY SLOW, and makes the game way easier. I played Assassin, brought a rusty bow with me, basically every enemy I fought could only move at half speed and the place was a cakewalk. (Assuming you avoid some of the ridiculous fights like the corrupted pawns that instakill you, and death)

Yeah I know all that. I play Ranger and I finished the game at lvl 48; I reached the point where you first encounter a Minotaur looking thingy then just left Bitterback Isle because I was dealing weak-shit damage with my tenfold arrows and killing things at a snail's pace. Took me fuck long to kill the eyeball thing and the one time an Elder Ogre appeared I just threw it off a ledge. I don't like hiring pawns that are higher level because I ain't homo and I don't like running away from any fights so everything took long; longest was killing the Giant Cyclops thing, it was as if I was fighting Yiazmat from FFXII. 2 hours.

Well when I say good pawns I don't mean higher level, just ones with good inclinations and skills that aren't dumbshits.

I don't really know what to say: As assassin I was always able to do reasonable damage by climbing and attacking weak points, while slowing with rusted bow.

Maybe climbing is OP? I was able to climb onto the giant evil eye and kill it in a single stamina bar's worth.

Though I'd always recommend avoiding the condemned gorecyclops

I hear explosive arrows are awesome, try stocking up on a bunch of those maybe.

Dunno, maybe it's just the difference in level. I had to kill all of it's tentacles and make its eye pop out 4 times to kill it, and I'm pretty sure that tenfold shot does the most dps in the game so it definitely must mean levels.

One of my pawns randomly decided to start attacking the cyclops while it was all shackled and shit so I decided to join in, then it broke free half-way through its first life bar; it's health decreased by a fraction of a millimetre with each shot and my minions kept dying with one hit but I eventually got there.

Also I did all this after killing the Dragon but before finishing the main game so I was only low lv 40s.
