Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

I finally finished the season finale of Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

And all I can say of it is one word: Powerful.

Don't use “thought” verbs too much: thinks, understands, loves, hates, and a hundred others. Instead of characters knowing, present the details that allow the reader to know them. Instead of a character wanting something, describe the thing so that the reader wants it. Only specific sensory detail: smell, taste, and sound.

Apparently.

I haven't watched it since it isn't a cambodian children's cartoon.

ALL HAIL THE KING IN THE NORTH!

Actually, the two characters I like the most in the series are Tyrion and Jaime. Snow is in my eyes not even a proper character because the only reason he's alive right now is to serve the fucking plot and the other Starks are shit IMO apart from Arya, who baked a nice pie, how lovely of her.

I just noticed that I can't even talk about the show without literally putting 90% of things in spoilerboxes.

I think that even those who didn't watch the show know Snow died and came back to life because people are fucking assholes. anyone who used social media around that time probably remembers that the day this episode was released was a fucking disaster. a fuckton of bad 9gag memes and "oh nooo he diiiieeeddd"

I'm still not taking any chances with it, though. It takes me 1 second to put it in a spoilerbox, but it can potentially save someone a gigantic spoiler.

The best acting in the show, by FAR, goes to Ramsay. If half the planet hates your living guts, you know you succeeded as an actor in that role.

Jack Gleeson and David Bradley's acting is also pretty terrific as antagonists Joffrey and Walder Frey

in that I was continuously screaming "Yes! Yes! Yes!" in the style of M. Bison when they were killed.

On a sidenote, Ramsay was actually a pretty good tactician as shown in the Battle of the Bastards in that he nearly eliminated Jon's army. I also enjoyed his death more than I should have because of the poetic justice.

Season 6 was hit and miss. I don't like the idea of resurrecting people because it eliminates the suspense of death. The antagonists are also weakened to laughable levels to make way for the main protagonists(Best example: khals fought countless wars and acted like children in elementary school when they confronted Daenerys).  But we got a tear-jerking sequence of "the door", one hell of an awesome battle in the penultimate episode, and great closure in the last episode.

To be quite honest, I don't consider Joffrey as evil as they all portray him to be (at least in the series). He's mentally challenged, as was seen in a number of episodes, so it's highly debatable whether or not he would truly be the same person if he wasn't ill.
Ramsay, on the other hand, is cunning, extremely intelligent and evil for the fun of it, not because he's sick. He knows exactly what he's doing at all times and does it regardless. I might hate him as a personality, but as a character I LOVED seeing him in an episode, as I always knew there wouldn't be a dull moment with him.

like you could hint at at least what season or book you're spoiling, even though I'm not going to look at those anyway yet since I already spoiled at least three major things from the last episode for myself on accident and I'm not taking any fucking chances right now

Jack Gleeson and Iwan Rheon.
BEST FUCKING ACTORS. still shaken up about that season finale though. It didn't leave me with much a cliffhanger but more so a mix of emotions. I'm just trying to keep my head clear about King's Landing.
