i really like genealogy and heritage, that's all there is to it. /int/ has ruined me ever seeing a person without wondering what their heritage is and how pure it is. i think people should be in touch with where they root from and take pride in it.
I can understand the curiosity, but why the pride? Where does that come from? For example, I have roots going back to indigenous Panamanians, the Spanish Conquistadores, and some guys from what was Prussia at the time. Don't see what to do with it past treating it with indifference.

think of it like human chemistry, i like studying what the cause of each chermical reaction is and i like seeing people proud of their heritage instead of forgetting their native culture while also integrating into their local societies.
