I was just thinking about this, I'm coming up to the tipping point of time lived with both parents vs time lived with separated ones relatively soon
it's a shame and I feel little connection to my dad and his family and they clearly don't feel I'm a full member of their family so eh
also I get complete shit gifts from everyone on dad's side so that's nice

maybe you should consider having a trusted friend deal with that, send your rent money to them so you can't spend it on anything else and they'll pay it for you
just an idea if you struggle with maintaining payments/spending money you don't have to spend
kinda on it I guess..
