my other, living great aunt has a presidential accolade for volunteer service regarding healthy living and herbal remedies (not some MMS bullshit, but actual ancient tinctures and shit straight from nature. she used to be a pharmacist she knows what she's talking about)
then again on the other side of the family my one great uncle is a published electrical engineer and professor, and my great aunt is a pretty good architect

Part of the problem is assuming there is an expectation to begin with. Even if there is, it's not something you ought to mind; I very much doubt anyone can be driven by such a flimsy reason long enough to actually get anything done. Just focus on your own thing.
