Depends on the person, I usually get tired of people I'm generally ok hanging around with in a week or two (totally not slightly referring to a trip I went on during the spring).

yeah, that's kinda what I was getting at - obv you won't be catching out any weird sneaking habits unless you get really lucky, but a week of non-stop being together and managing life together does show you decently well if they have any character flaws that are complete dealbreakers or if they're just an asswipe
in my case this most certainly did not happen and I'm pretty excited to make the real thing happen :]

Well I can only speak about my own experiences. My roommates were my best buddies in boot camp and the course, but after some time many many problems started arising because of lack of communication and some disgusting things happening. The solution ofc was to sit, talk and open up about what bothers each of us and since we did it started getting really dandy, in the end we're friends and we're stuck with each other for the next two years. Regardless - I think a week is just not that long enough of a time for serious problems to actually arise is all. Especially not if you do not have to deal with money issues
