Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

I'm afraid ksg might die due to dehydration during his sleep.
12-18 hour sleepytimes when it's 30-40c sounds like a feat I could never do

I think he's just hibernating to avoid the heat

as long as he drinks before/after he should be fine. I sleep 12 whenever given the opportunity and usually wake up with peak dry mouth but it's near impossible to sleep more once you're at that stage

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

as i've quit my job and as such will no longer (again) be able to afford smoking, i'm quitting it a second time. this time, however, i'll be depositing the price of an average package of cigarettes for every second day i do not smoke into an aggressive growth fund account for the future. i think i'm being smart about this, and watching my money be transferred i feel really good about it, too. i should be able to keep this practice up for the rest of the year, as i have calculated cigarettes into my budget, but feel this is a much smarter decision. also not drinking a lot of alcohol, if any at all, outside a beer or two every now and then because i think it tastes good.

I don't know how much this helps but you could also think of money saved from smoking as possible money towards games and anime.  It's a sort of healthier option if you need a vice.  Investing is nice too if you know what you're doing.

Anime and games aren't like smoking, though. Smoking is an action, like kicking or chewing, and sure, games are also technically an action, but it's more about observing than actually doing something, especially with anime. It's not the same type of addiction.
He could just start doing crystal meth. Much healthier option. :V

Hmm I guess there's coffee but that's dependent on him liking coffee...

He needs to do something that's ultimately healthy for him, or at least poses no future health problem possibilities. He could work out? Chew gum? Idk, something that has few or no negative sides. Coffee is still quite bad if you get addicted to it.

i hope investing in a growth fund periodically and as a reward is a good incentive as it will be a constant proof of progress. also, i quit smoking during spring for 2-3 weeks already with very little problems, because i couldn't afford it. i then decided i could afford it due to working over the summer, so i picked up the habit again, because i like smoking.

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

oh boy, i just found out that i managed to fail a course the third time and now i'm basically out.

i don't think i underestimated the exam. especially not in the 2nd and 3rd try. but somehow i still couldn't write down what i learned. was i too scared of failing and failed because of it?
the course wasn't even hard (so i thought). it was "teaching english as a foreign language (tefl)" and consisted of basic pedagogy. nothin complex. i'm fairly sure i learned the most stuff the prof wanted me to learn.

i usually don't have problems with exams. but this one i struggled with to the point of failing three fucking times. was it because i had less time writing the exam than normally? was it the topic that i somehow couldn't understand but think i understood? i have no idea

i'm kinda pissed that i didn't take the option for an oral exam (sounded way too scary). maybe i would have passed then.
kinda threw 2 years of progress out of the window.

welp. maybe i wasn't meant to be a teacher.
i guess i have to rethink my life now

Re: ITT: Pretend we are still writing in osu! OT

are you sure you don't get to retry? can you not retake the course and prove your skill apart from the test and so jump straight to it?
