Toby Fox is big enough now that you have to play on day 0 to avoid spoilers.

Heard of it something like 2 days ago and watched some let's plays, only for it to be a demo and getting me annoyed.
Wasn't it the same guy who made Undertale? Why the fuck would he "need a team" and "years to make"...? Does he prefer working alone on it or what?

Mostly I guessed that the people who come here would have heard about it from people who follow game dev stuff.
It also has been a while since the demo was tweeted so...yeah.

One man games of this caliber often take 4-7 years to make.
Even if he's doing a bunch of the stuff himself a dev team helping will shave a few years off the dev cycle.
Also in Undertale Toby got Everdraed to design the neutral final boss.

Yeah I phrased myself badly at the start of that post. My actual question was, why he's working alone on it if it takes him that many years to complete it? Surely he has the money to employ some people who could shave off 90% of that time.
I didn't mean to degrade him or anything, I was just curious, as it is most definitely peculiar.

I think he's doing this so that the game keeps that certain special feel of the game that you get with one man projects.
Also it gives him that extra time and flexibility to change things more if needed.
Toby does not want this suffer from the same problems that plagued Sonic 06/Boom or No Man's Sky.
