Ricing is something i wanna do since ages but never get around to or have energy to do. I actually have concrete plans on what i wanna do, but i just cant seem to be arsed.
Also i found that those days i dont really look at my desktop anymore anyway. Always got some window up and running so why rice if i aint gonna see it, unless im gonna go full gun and rice the visuals on every single application i have.

eh, the extent I'm willing to go with ricing is basically just finding a decent dark theme and setting up a background for things.
can't be bothered with all sorts of wacky config hacks

I switched to gnome to test it out a while ago, and I'm not really a fan of the 'we removed the minimised program icons menu that everyone hated, replacing it with nothing' approach they have
it's also heavy as fuck
tldr probably returning to xfce or something soon

when I was messing with it last, I managed to make the dark theme implement work kinda weirdly and that threw me off a bit
also weird bugs wrt terminal emulation
neither of those is a true excuse though and I should just figure out how to go back
someone did try to preach the benefits of awesomewm to me a while back though, not sure if I want to try that out since I've never not used a DE

Funny thing is my portrait mode monitor has a simple rainmeter setup and a custom bg but my portrait monitor has the default bg still.
