I saw this in ITT:
Can you get to TS? I'm planning to take a walk around the streets and I'd like to have some company.
I'm in MillTS.
I started wondering if anyone wants a tuuba teamspeak server?
I could apply for a NPL (non-profit license) since this site doesn't have any ads or donation buttons.
This would enable us to have a 256 slot ts server.
Currently there is a 32 slot (non-licensed) server running.
No one is using it at the moment (It was a temporary backup a while ago), so feel free to jump in.

Well, I don't really see the point, but it's like Jim Davis always said, "Extend your brand until you have penetrated every aspect of the consumer's life, and then they shall become your slave." I think Mumble is better, since it doesn't have a licensing program and actually works, but either one is fine.
Also, can we get some free Tuuba mousepads when we join? The last Teamspeak I regularly used did that and it definitely helped the community feel united.

I personally have always experienced more problems with mumble than teamspeak. Especially with the voice activation detection. It seemed to pick out stuff coming from my headphones as very loud, even when I could barely hear myself.
Also a few years back, I tested audio quality with a friend. We both had same mic and headphones, ts and mumble using same audio codec on the same server, with same settings. Mumble had more distortion. I guess it can only be a problem with the netcode.

That's actually a noise removal issue. I know how to fix it, but I'm not gonna troubleshoot a program nobody is using.

This is probably the same noise removal issue at play.
But whatever, if Teamspeak works for everyone it's fine. It's better to use the program that works for the most people. You can't salvage a tainted experience by forcing people to put in more effort.

Does the TS actually run on the same server as rest of our stuff? Because if yes, it'll be latency city for jewrope and asia.
The latency isn't that bad. I'm getting <200ms. Which is acceptable for a voip.

I wouldn't use a voip with a latency like that for any gaming that I do. That's a tad too much latency imo

Going a little bit off-topic in here, but should we add TS and IRC info to the same row as Tuuba/Local time?
Maybe.
