Transparent? (probs needs outlining then :/)
Gray is fine though.
Also, that smaller font is a bit too small, looks ugly.

If the BG is transparent, the font needs to have outlines or shadowing. Otherwise it won't show properly on some themes, unless a very bright colour is used.
