It's the sad, harsh truth that fat shaming is the first step to helping someone from being overweight. Or just get a doctor to lie and tell them they're going to die in a year if they don't shape up.

Not much you can do about it. Heck, I'm pretty sure anything you've said isn't news to them.
I know it sucks to see, but it's a problem with drive. These are people who are crippled in several ways, or at least perceive themselves as such, and thus will rarely feel determined enough to go through with anything. The best you could do is spur them on to accomplish little victories, but you wouldn't be able to do much more than that unless you devoted yourself to the cause.

I'm aware, but I tend to be the sort of person who dedicates themselves to causes like that and it's quite painful to watch people toss aspirations aside for staying at home and playing video games or getting high. with some people it is quite easy for me to find a connection and thus push them towards achieving something, but then there's the people who are convinced they know what's best for them while engaging in really obviously destructive/negative behaviours

NEETs that do nothing but play games all day are a waste of space, but I don't tell that to people here because they probably get enough of that in real life from their parents/friends.

I am a NEET who wants to work as a teacher. Too bad my government is horrible and doesn't let me yet. I can't get myself to work at somewhere else either. Guess I will be waiting for the government to call me til I starve to death.

Oh I don't play videogames ALL DAY either. I just do things, I think.

I prefer not to judge NEETs because you never know why they are NEET. Sure a portion of them may be lazy fucks who would rather play games in their moms basement until they die of overweight than actually do something with their life, but not all of them are like that (miney for example). Hating on all NEETs just because of some prejudice on the internet is not going to make your life happy.

I didn't say I hate on all neets at any point, I just don't enjoy spending time with people who don't value themselves or their time
