is what I meant. 500 entries is more than enough even with the links imo, ain't no one going to go scouring back a year for someone's edits

No reason to show edited-tag if no one has seen your post.
Posts without effort are like wiping your ass once: it doesn't really achieve anything, regardless of it being under a dedicated subforum. But let's get real, it's summer.

I guess this is doable. Just need to check whether there is a post after it and make it a silent edit if not. Though this will probably require an additional database query.

If there are no posts after your post, the "silent edit" box is now automatically checked, but you can choose to uncheck it if you feel like it.
Posts edited silently still show up in modlog.

It doesn't apply to old posts, only new posts sneak edited after the change.
And make sure you actually see the button like this:
And that it is checked (it should be by default when it is applicable).
