What is kawaii?

And I know some people probably want this place to be just a private forum for some of the people from OT, but I was thinking more of it as a refuge for people to boycott the main forum, in a vain attempt perhaps to get peppu to change some stuff. So is my question is: do any of you mind if I post in the 'new design discussion forum' alerting peppu and whoever else about this one, and if so what would the conditions be for us to come back to the old forum?
A thread in OT could work if it was explicitly stated that it's more of an alternative to those who don't like the new design instead of being directly against having the new design rolled out.
I would also appreciate if the "marketing" of this forum was kept to minimum. Making a thread of it is okay, but try to keep at least somewhat low profile.

What's the current limit? There is no setting for it so that would require some tinkering. Having the messaging fields changed was already discussed, having a clear consensus on what these should be changed would be nice.
If it is the character limit which is the problem, there is a setting for it.
