Today I got a haircut and the barber said I should be grateful because my hair is long, straight, thick, and black (basically just like an ideal cock for a black male pornstar). He said that it's really easy to make it look good and just a tiny bit of care is needed.
The problem is I know nothing about hair treatment. He said just a bit of gel should be enough, but I don't know what kind of gel to get. Any tips to help me get started?
P.S. I know asking about things like this in a forum full of nerds is pointless, but I'm pretty sure there are one or two people who understand this sort of thing in here.

Honestly your barber is right, straight hair is easy to take care of (doesnt tangle, doesnt have a mind of its own, actually lets you brush it without just springing back 80% of the time...). Thick means your hair is more resilent to damage (but also heavier which makes some hairstyles a nightmare to maintain) or just that you have many hairs per inch.
Just to clarify, how long is long and i assume your barber meant styling, not taking care of it, yes? Else im not really sure what he meant with gel.
