please make the maximum size for images in signatures smaller, something like 200 or a maximum of 250px height is more than enough
alternately just do not allow trash boat to have any images in his signatures that would also solve the problem

Rather than restricting or painfully measuring signatures you can do some code magic to automatically truncate anything past like 250px and allow users to expand it. (bonus points for when the extra parts of the signature only get loaded untill you actually do that)

i'd rather not have shitty extra buttons repetitively popping up when scrolling down a page unless i can toggle them myself. i don't recall other forums calling it difficult to just port over the avatar size restriction to signatures

Awesome. How many px is the avatar space (not just the avatar but the entire thing?) Half of that would make a good maximum for the minimized one i think.
Maximized, until the entire sig shows suppose, but maximal double of the avatar space. (that ought to be more than enough space for nutcases to put everything they'd like and their mothers in there.)
